Our stay at Whispering Winds was nothing short of amazing! The cabins were immaculate and well-equipped, making it a perfect family getaway. The personal touch from the owners truly elevated our experience, but the location, while idyllic, could get busy during peak tourist times.
I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Black Elk Resort in the Black Hills! The location was perfect for exploring the area, and I loved how clean and comfortable the entire place was. The owners, Dan and Lora, made us feel like family, and the evening campfires were a great way to bond with other guests. However, I did find the Wi-Fi a bit spotty at times since it's more of an unplugged experience, and I wish there were more dining options on-site.
Black Elk Resort is a hidden gem in the Black Hills, offering immaculate cabins and a cozy atmosphere that makes it feel like home. The owners, Dan and Lora, create a warm environment where guests can enjoy conversation and community after a day of exploring. With so many activities for families and a central location for all attractions, it was hard to find any negatives. However, some might find the lack of Wi-Fi and cell service a drawback while trying to plan their excursions.
We had a wonderful time at this lovely resort in the Black Hills! The cottages were clean and well-maintained, truly a home away from home. The taproom was a special touch, allowing for cozy, friendly evenings with other guests. However, we found the management style a bit overbearing at times, which slightly lessened our overall experience. Despite that, the atmosphere and connection with other guests made it memorable, and we left wishing we had booked a longer stay.
I had an amazing weekend getaway at this place! It was ideally situated for our hiking plans and the chance to unwind. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and the evening campfire gatherings were a highlight. On the downside, we experienced some issues with internet connectivity and limited amenities that could use improvement, but overall, it was a delightful stay.
